Libya

March 2026
In Libya, after the abundant rainfall of December, moisture conditions have been below average in the western half of the country (around Tripoli) where about 60% of the normal rainfall was received since 21 December and to a lesser extent in the east (the Banghazi area). Winter cereals conditions are mixed, i.e. poor in the Tripoli area going from Az Zawia to Misurata, most likely due to a reduction of the sown area, and good around Banghazi (e.g. in Al Fatah) except in Darna.
